Jen Moeckel Presents at NHBA’s Annual Labor & Employment Update CLE

On October 14, 2021, Cook Little partner Jen Moeckel presented at the NH Bar Association’s 20th Annual Labor & Employment Law Update, a continuing legal education (CLE) program for New Hampshire lawyers. Jen presented on the topic of “US DOL Update: Roll Backs and What to Expect.” Jen’s presentation included discussion of new approaches to liquidated damages and civil money penalties, and “roll backs” on rules regarding joint employment, independent contractors, and tip pooling. Jen also addressed pandemic-related developments at the US DOL Wage & Hour Division including the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, posting virtual notices, and telework pay guidance. She also discussed minimum wage increases for federal contractors and subcontractors, and what to expect in the last quarter of 2021 and moving forward in 2022.
