Kathleen M. Mahan

Kate Mahan is a business litigator who resolves disputes for corporate executives and business owners of all kinds. Kate is known for her work on a wide range of intellectual property matters including trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights as well as business disputes related to corporate governance, non-compete disputes, contract actions and other professional disagreements. Most notably, Kate was a key attorney on the CRLM  team to favorably resolve one of New Hampshire’s precedent-setting trade secret cases through trial and subsequent appeal. Her well-rounded experience includes counseling both plaintiffs and defendants before state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings, and handling appeals before the New Hampshire Supreme Court. Kate often appears before New Hampshire’s Business and Commercial Dispute Court, but appears in all levels of New Hampshire’s trial courts.  As a mediator and arbitrator, Kate uses her experience to help others resolve a wide range of business disputes. Kate is Rule 32 certified with the New Hampshire Superior Court for all New Hampshire counties.


Kate currently sits on the New Hampshire Bar Association Board of Governors as a Member at Large as well as the New Hampshire Bar Foundation Board of Directors. Additionally, Kate enjoys participating directly with judges and other practitioners on the New Hampshire Federal Court Advisory Committee as well as the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Committee on Cooperation with the Courts, where she has worked on several subcommittees to develop litigation guidelines.  

Prior to joining the firm, Kate clerked for the New Hampshire Supreme Court for two years and for the New Hampshire Superior Court for two years.
