Jen Moeckel Presents Seminar on Reasonable Suspicion Drug & Alcohol Testing

February 20, 2018

On February 13, 2018, CLRM employment law attorney Jen Moeckel co-presented with Ron Lamontagne, MS, APRN, BC, Assistant Medical Director of ExpressMED/Bedford Occupational Acute Care, to members of the New Hampshire Auto Dealers Association (NHADA) on the topic of reasonable suspicion of drug and alcohol use and drug and alcohol testing. The seminar was held at the NHADA headquarters in Bow, New Hampshire. The current drug crisis in New Hampshire has prompted many employers to seek guidance on how to identify and address employees who are suspected of being under the influence at work and/or struggling with addiction issues. The seminar included information on how drug and alcohol use affects the workplace, warning signs of drug and alcohol misuse, making the reasonable suspicion determination, the reasonable suspicion testing process and related considerations, and steps to take after testing.
