CLRM Employment Lawyers Present Legal Update to SHRA

Andrea Chatfield and Jen Moeckel presented Employment Law Update and Practical Tips for 2019 to members of the Seacoast Human Resources Association (SHRA) on January 8, 2019. SHRA is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. The presentation included practical tips and takeaways for HR professionals to use in adapting their policies and procedures to changes in the legal landscape. Topics included background check updates, state and federal wage & hour developments, youth employment changes, trends in ADA reasonable accommodations, harassment and discrimination prevention and lessons learned from #Me Too, the NLRB’s new approach to employee handbook policies, arbitration agreements, drug testing, non-compete developments, and paid family/medical leave initiatives on the horizon.
